What are some flaws of breed specific legislation?

Ok so I am having a total mental block right now. Could you guys help me think of some flaws of BSL?

Please if you are going to tell me to do it myself, google it, etc, just move on I am in no mood today. What are some flaws of breed specific legislation?
Solves nothing.

Example: They ban APBTs in england, but people now use staffys as the *tuff dog*.

There will always be another breed out there someone is trying to destroy.

" IF PIT BULLS ARE OUTLAWED, ONLY OUTLAWS WILL HAVE PIT BULLS "

It hurts good owners.
it wont prevent the irresponsible people from owning a banned dog, it will only prevent the responsible people, the 'bad' owners dont care, the good owners dont want to have a dog taken away from themWhat are some flaws of breed specific legislation?
The people that it affects are the responsible owners. The back alley back yard bred dogs are not, because these owners hide under rocks.

There is no effective way to enforce it.

It has not been proved that it has reduced injury or death by attacks.

The law makers are totally clueless about the real problem of irresponsible breeders and owners.

Just to name a few.
Here's an article that will help - http://www.dogstardaily.com/blogs/advoca鈥?/a>What are some flaws of breed specific legislation?
More Backyard Breeders and Black Market Dogs.

More dogs being chained and abused in backyards and basements in an attempt to hide them from people.

More dogs with social problems due to not being allowed in public while they are young puppies.

More "tough guys" wanting the big bad illegal dog.
The obvious one is that it develops an illegal market in these breeds with breeding, selling, keeping as it has done in the UK...........so the dogs that continue to be bred are bred, sold and live in homes with people who are the ones that the law was supposed to stop, as making laws like this should be the last method of control.
For the past 19 years the UK And many American states have had 'BSL' in act.

This law prohibits and bans certain breeds of dogs. Many of which are good working dogs. For example the German Shepherd Dog is used commonly as guard dogs, farm dogs, police/armed forces patrol dogs and sniffer dogs for the missing peoples association. These dogs are need by humans.

Other breeds include 'Pit bull types' and other Bully breeds.

The laws often effect the responsible owners who only want whats best for their dogs, and rarely effect the irresponsible people who fight their dogs or neglect them.
It has absolutley nothing positive.

It affects good dogs. It makes people want one of the dogs listed in the BSL because, if they are in the list, they are "tough macho dogs".

And it helps cultivate ignorance... People that believe that bully breeds are "mean" and "turn on" their owners just because of BSL.
