Is it true that Sarah Palin promoted legislation to continue aerial slaughter of the wolves of Alaska?

I just learned this disturbing bit of information about McCain's new VP pick. I also learned that her husband works for BP, and that she's a creationist. She sounds horrible and talk about being in the pocket of oil company lobbyists. Does this worry anyone else?Is it true that Sarah Palin promoted legislation to continue aerial slaughter of the wolves of Alaska?
I don't know if she is a creationist, but I think she is on record advocating teaching creationism alongside of evolutionary theory in science classes. Which does indicate a profound ignorance in science, as well as in court rulings to the subject (see Kitzmiller).

By the way, most christians do not believe in the literal truth of the bible. The majority of christians on this world are catholic and the catholic church has no problems whatsoever with evolutionary theory. And would not remotely think of introducing creationism into a science classroom.
YEAH ITS ALL TRUEIs it true that Sarah Palin promoted legislation to continue aerial slaughter of the wolves of Alaska?
Controlling natures' predators is a way to boost the population of other animals.
True, true and true.Is it true that Sarah Palin promoted legislation to continue aerial slaughter of the wolves of Alaska?
No this does not worry me

You compare aerial control of wolves to Obama's Infanticide. Please!
Nope, not at all.

Have you ever been in an over populated area of wolves?

Study on it and get back with us.

And by the way, Bidens son is a lobbyist, does that bother you?
Biden's son is being investigated for ties with lobbists and their ties to Daddy Biden. Well,so much for change.
Do you know how many people in alaska work for BP? Are you seriously this out of touch with the world?...And so she's a creationist ...thats a matter of religon...and the predominant religon in our country thank you very much.
We finally get to drill Anwar, yeah Palin!!!
I heard that Dem's support killing babies with abortion but I guess wolves are more important.

x
Sounds more weird and more bizarre every hours as this event unfolds.

McCain just made National Enquirer look like amateurs.
Cool! Less predators to kill the poor little Baby Elks and Baby Moose.

Nice try!

McCain Pallin 08
If there's any truth to her condoning the slaughter of wolves, (a) that is deplorable and (b) even the perpetual-emotion machine we call the mainstream media can't ignore it.

As for her being a creationist, take heart. "Freedom of religion" NEVER meant "Freedom FROM religion".

She has a right to her faith.

...
In the pocket of oil lobbyists? That's not what I heard. I read that she actually promoted taxation of oil companies. Who cares if she's a Creationist, it doesn't mean she's going to legislate her beliefs, freedom of Religion, 1st Ammendment, freedom to exercise clause.

Whoever her husband works for will not affect her leadership as VP.
She fought the Oil Company lobbyists and forced out corrupt oil-backed politicians. So you are completely wrong about everything.

Her husband is in a union man. Democrats are against that now too?

Don't you want to know anything? Stop reading stupid blogs written by divisive morons and watch actual speeches and interviews.
Do you even know where Alaska is?

What you are spouting sounds like propaganda from move on wankers.

Think about what the major exports are of that state.

Think about the size and wilderness environment of that state.

Pretty sure that Kennedy was a creationist, oh and he's who B.O. wants to aspire to be.
Yes, it's true.

She's may very well have killed more canines than Michael Vick.
1) The wolves thing will only mean anything to animal rights activists (who are against any form of hunting anyway)

2) She's a Christian, most Christians believe in the bible, which means they believe in creationism.

3) Her husband works as a lineman for BP, a blue collar job like most Americans have

4) Your oil lobbyist comment is hilarious, once you know the facts, she fights big oil

:

Ms. Palin has shown similar boldness in going after Big Oil, whose money has long dominated the state and helped fund its Republican machine. In a snub to the oil majors, she has proposed TransCanada Corp., a Calgary energy company, be given the primary contract to lead the $30 billion job to build a natural-gas pipeline from Alaska's North Slope

Maybe you should learn more about her

As a governor, it's her job to protect the regional interests and represent the local residents. It sounds like that's what she was doing to me.
Your showing your ignorance... wolves need culling when their population increases dramatically. It is all very well planed out in EVERY State foe EVERY kind of animal, just like Deer, Bear,Coyotes,Buffalo etc.

AND it has been going on for Decades... even under Democratic Leadership.
Why is it to Obama supporters him being for abortion is "not an issue" but this is, does this not sound a little odd?
OMG, you have to be kidding me, either your making all this up or your listening to some real crap. I have been listening to MSNBC to get their take on this, they are off the charts trying to attack this fine person. Good luck all you idiots on your baseless attacks.
Yes she did..

If you lived here, you would know what a big problem wolves are.

Her husband works for BP which is one of the top 5 employers in the state.

Did you know that she is married to guy who is part native, so she gets free Medical Care.

So she is Creationist .. so what..

Did you know that her youngest son has Downs syndrome?

OH the HORROR.... get over your self.. this is 2008.

Speaking from a Proud Alaskan's point of view this rocks. Sarah Palin, has done wonders for this state.. And i am sure that she will be a good Vice President.
Yes it is true! She has no experience something according to John McCain is important. And during her short time in office has spent most of her time finding ways to kill wolves.
This is really bad news for McCain.

Everybody knows that he is just an old wolf.
Actually, she has a reputation for taking on the big oil companies.

You can read up on her with the links to local Alaska media coverage of the announcement in the special Sarah Palin section on the front page of http://www.USAMediaGuide.com, including a link to the Anchorage newspaper's biography of her.
Yes. The native population depends on hunting to eat, and wolves were taking too many moose. We voted on it last Tuesday, and it was voted down.
I live in Alaska.

Aerial hunting of wolves has been outlawed for many, many years. Keep in mind - Alaska has 17,000+ wolves.

Sometimes the Alaskan dept of Fish and Game will take out wolves that are decimating a caribou or moose population in an emergency. This is not hunting - it is predator control Doesn't happen often. Last year they killed 8 or 10 this way. Some animal rights group from Connecticuit put a measure on our last ballot to outlaw Alaska's ability to do this in an emergency. All thier ads made it sound like they were trying to ban aerial hunting, and it was not fair - and it's not, it's control. It was defeated by an overwelming majority.

What bothers me - these groups that feel Alaska is some sort of play land. Last winter we had wolves come into the city of Fairbanks and attack and drag people's dogs off. A woman jogging in Anchorge last year was attacked and lost here dog.

Wolves are doing just fine in Alaska. If you feel bad for them - please - tell us where you want us to send them. Be happy to drop a truck load or two off in your town. More than happy!!

wow the depths pathetic obama supporters stoop to LOL makes me laugh

Sarah sure has the democrat trairtors running like headless chickens,
seriously? yes

i'm also concerned about america's image when sarah doesn't win the next biker beauty contest.
