Not if they want to be paid for doing it. Not if they want to have vehicles, equipment or other resources to use. The EPA is just another sterling example of what started out to be a useful agency turning into a massive corrupt bureaucracy. They should not be allow to make rules or regulations that carry the weight of law. Only Congress should be able to do that. We have to change the system to where such agencies can make rules but they have to go to Congress for regulations. Rules are defined as guidelines. It is an abomination that American Citizens can be deprived of their property rights, fined and even loose their freedom based on regulations created by unelected bureaucrats.

Carbon emissions and the Environmental Protection agency hmmmm...you're right I can't see how the mandate of protecting the environment is at all connected with carbon emissions.



You can't de-fund something unless the President is on board or you have enough support to override a veto. The GOP has neither.
The Republicans just may do that. Keep in mind though that global warming is already causing turmoil around the world. The Egyptian protests were fueled by soaring food prices. Recently there has been horrendous floods in Pakistan and Australia, wiping out a lot of crops, and there is news that there is a drought in Northern China that may affect the wheat harvest and further increase food prices. Meanwhile more and more of our corn harvest is going into ethanol production. The environmental Protection Act was passed in 1970 and signed by Richard Nixon. That's all the legislation the EPA needs to regulate whatever is necessary to protect our environment.
